My friend James King had just turned 30 and was celebrating with a party in London. Driving seemed like too much bother so we went down on the train and checked into our hotel, Le Meridien Piccadilly which we'd booked a few days earlier via Priceline.

We dumped our stuff and then headed off to Chinatown where we gorged ourselves on dim sum and did our best to dodge some very overenthusiastic Chinese Conservatives who were leafleting! We then headed to the London Eye. Again we'd booked online so we showed our tickets and joined the queue. It was fun but the slightly hazy weather meant visibility wasn't that good.

Then it was time to head back to the hotel and get ready for the party... another hop on the tube and we arrived at Heads and Tails in Farringdon. A good night was had by all and it was nice to catch up with a lot of people we hadn't seen for ages.

Sunday morning we headed off to the London Print Fair where we bought a couple of prints. Pizza for lunch then back to the train!

Below are a few snaps I took with my little Canon Ixus 700 camera. This was my 30th birthday present from my wife! I've scaled the images down a lot for ease of loading...
